The Ford Agency has partnered with a boutique disability rights law firm in Maryland in search for a Licensed Clinical Geriatric Social Worker. Strong communication and social skills are keys to success in this role as it requires close interaction with clients, their families, and medical professionals. Must have own transportation as the role requires extensive local travel. Responsibilities Include:
General case management
Conduct client assessments and develop treatment plans
maintain accurate and detailed records
Advocate for client's needs and rights
Coordinate with community resources services
Occasional weekend work will be required as well as availability to respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours
Qualification Include:
Bachelor's Degree and MSW
2 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
Excellent communication skills; ability to explain complex situations to clients and attorneys
Attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills
Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly
High level of discretion and professionalism
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
