The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a Technical Communications Specialist to join the IT department at a prestigious, international law firm. The Specialist will handle disseminating complex IT solutions in easy to understand language to a broad audience, collaborate closely with IT leadership, and stay up to date with industry trends. This is a great opportunity for a communications specialist who has a technical writing background and is looking for a dynamic role!
Responsibilities Include:
Draft and edit communications in support of IT strategy
Manage content for the IT intranet site
Create communication campaign strategies
Collect feedback and utilize other metrics to inform future communications plans
Stay up to date on IT and communications trends and implement new best practices as needed
Collaborate with CIO and IT leadership to ensure communications are in alignment with the team's goals and strategies
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of IT communications experience
Large law firm experience preferred
Technical writing experience strongly preferred
Ability to understand technical solutions and language and communicate that simply and effectively to a broad audience
Technical skills: Project, program, collaboration, and portfolio management tools experience
Ability to work with personnel across all levels
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
