Job Description

The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join an education-focused non-profit. This individual will play a key role in managing all the organization's day-to-day and back-end financial and accounting functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter with previous experience working in a non-profit setting with preference for a candidate who has worked with federal grants. This is a temporary opportunity with strong potential for converting to a permanent role!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee all accounts and ledgers to ensure compliance with federal and regulatory requirements

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliation for bank and investment accounts

  • Coordinate all audit activity and provide analysis and reporting to leadership

  • Assist with the annual budget planning

  • Manage all grant accounting, budgeting, and reporting


Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, active CPA or plans to pursue highly desired

  • 3+ years of accounting experience required

  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce

  • Knowledge of federal grant processes and compliance

  • Proficiency in Spanish, a plus
