The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for an organized and energetic HR Generalist for a DC legal advocacy nonprofit. The Generalist will work closely with the HR team on various initiatives and will touch upon many aspects of day-to-day HR administration, such as the full-cycle recruiting process, onboarding new hires, and overseeing the performance management system. The ideal candidate will have previous recruiting and HR Coordinator experience in a non-profit environment, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities Include:
Handle full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening/interviewing, and working with hiring managers
Manage the onboarding and welcome process for new hires to ensure a seamless integration from day 1
Maintain the performance management process for employees and hiring managers
Continuously stay updated on HR policies, regulatory compliance changes, and other HR best practices
Manage the HRIS system and other HR documentation and reporting
Assist with various HR initiatives and create HR presentations and documents
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree
SHRM or HRCI certification required
3+ years of HR experience
1+ years of full cycle recruiting experience
Non-profit or association or advocacy experience preferred
Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
Proficient in MS Office
Experience with Paycom preferred
Excellent communication skills
Problem solving and strategic thinking skills
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
