The Ford Agency is actively seeking a senior policy professional to join one of the nation's top legislative teams at a law firm. This individual will work with a variety of clients on a number of policy areas (energy, foreign relations, financial services, and healthcare to name a few). Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement strategic advocacy plans on a wide range of policy issues
Communicate with clients and internal teams
Manage and mentor junior policy staff
Stay up to date with legislation and regulations
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of policy experience
2+ years of supervisory experience
Experience on the Hill, trade associations, or corporate government relations
Strong understanding of the federal legislative process
Experience with defense, foreign relations, tax, healthcare, energy, education, appropriations, or transportation strongly preferred
Professional communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
