The Ford Agency is seeking a professional IP Litigation Paralegal to join a busy Intellectual Property team at a leading DC law firm. This individual will provide high level paralegal support to attorneys, proofread and cite-check legal documents, prepare filings with USPTO and courts, and manage case files. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 5 years of IP litigation experience to work alongside a collaborative and close knit team of innovative professionals!
Responsibilities Include:
Assist with drafting, reviewing, cite-checking, and preparing PTAB, Federal Circuit, and District Court filings
File and retrieve documents at government agencies and courthouses
Assist with electronic discovery process
Manage case files
Compile materials for interviews and depositions
Assist with trial prep
Proofread and cite-check legal documents
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's Degree
Paralegal Certificate preferred
5+ years of IP litigation paralegal experience
Experience with USPTO, US District Court, and Federal Circuit Court of Appeals
Familiarity with Relativity, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, and other e-Discovery tools
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Professional communication skills
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
