Job Description

The Ford Agency is looking for a Compensation Analyst professional to provide important compensation analysis and insights for the DC office of a national law firm. This individual will collaborate with the Compensation Director and other teams to support programs and initiatives to aid in the firm's recruitment and retention goals.
 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Review job descriptions, job classifications, and salary ranges
  • Analyze job descriptions and salaries to ensure compensation is aligned with the market and the firm's strategy
  • Assist in the annual merit process, analyze changes in the market (inflation, industry salary projections, etc.) to recommend any changes or corrections
  • Collaborate with HRIS team to enhance systems to support the annual compensation process
  • Run compensation analysis and research market trends to advise on a competitive pay structure for the firm
  • Review and analyze salary surveys, monitor economic conditions, and stay up to date on market and industry trends
  • Assist with developing and implementing comprehensive compensation programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and analyze FLSA status and EEO codes
 
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other compensation certificate preferred
  • 3+ years of compensation experience for a large multi-site employer
  • Experience in a professional services firm strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills with macros, pivot tables, etc.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems preferred
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Critical thinking an problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and strong customer focus
 
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
